Just grab some dollar bills or 5's that have just been lying around unused anyway. Stuff them in an envelope or send a check or money order for your Honor System Subscription to:
If you live outside the United States, the best suggestion I can offer you for now (until some InterNet innovation solves the problem) is to send a money order. If that's too much of a chore, ask around and see if anyone is carrying US dollars that they would be willing to trade for local currency. If all else fails, send the equivalent of $$ in paper money of your currency. Hopefully, I will receive enough of your kind of money to make it worthwhile to go and exchange it.Light On: Shades of Meaning

Honor System Subscription: Why should you pay the nominal Honor System Subscription when no one can stop you from coming here?
Light On: Shades of Meaning came into being and survives through the efforts of one man (with the assistance of his webmaster). To date, it has no large corporate sponsor, and is unlikely to find one in the foreseeable future. You did not have to pay up front just to visit the site and you are not bombarded with annoying frames of advertising. But, it does cost money to maintain a site and, in all candor, the author would, after all these years, not mind seeing some remuneration for his years of labor and his acumen.
Here's what I suggest you do: [Make Shades of Meaning Your Home Page], use it for a while. If you like it, send a payment and keep on coming back. If you don't like it after using it for a while or if you just don't like the idea of paying for it, then take Shades off your bookmarks and Home Page and surf elsewhere.

Honor System Subscription: What is ShareWork?
One shade of meaning I don't have a firm grasp of is "shareware". I think it works like this: someone writes a piece of software and puts it out on the Web for people to take and use. If they use it for a while and like it, they send a payment; if they don't, they stop using it. It's all on the honor system.
In that vein, I have christened this InterNet daily calendar "ShareWork". I am hopeful that, like "shareware", my readers will pay for it through an Honor System to which, I am confident, most people who are interested in Shades of Meaning will adhere. Here's what I suggest you do: [Make Shades of Meaning Your Home Page] and use it for a while. If you like it, follow the steps to subscribe and then keep on coming back! If, after using it for a while, you don't like it or if you just don't like the idea of paying for it, then take Shades off your bookmarks and Home Page and surf elsewhere.

$20 per year plus $5 for each other computer in your home/office that is used to access the ShareWork. That's about $.05 a day. And, it's always there for you to go back to and enjoy as many times as you want without cluttering up your house/office with 365 little sheets of paper.
You decide. How to pay?
